Course structure and format
The master class is a hybrid two-day program: one day of online manuals, certifications and tests followed by one full day of hands-on training with live post-op surgery models. The online portion covers protocols, safety guidelines and vendor lists; the in-person day focuses on supervised practice and applied techniques in a studio setting located in Central Harlem, New York.
Enrollment requires a $250 deposit to reserve your seat and to process a background check because the hands-on day includes working with our surgical patients. Administrative notes recorded for services list price $1250 and duration 30 MINUTES; consult our front desk for current course fees, exact schedules, and financing options such as Afterpay, Affirm, Klarna or insurance guidance.
Hands-on techniques taught
The practical day emphasizes manual lymphatic drainage, facial massage techniques, seroma and incisional drainage approaches, and specialized body sculpting methods adapted for post-surgical clients. Trainers demonstrate Colombian and Brazilian techniques alongside machine-assisted modalities named in the syllabus, and trainees practice under supervision to build confidence and safe handling for early post-op stages.
Additional hands-on modules include wood therapy, lipo cavitation, radio frequency and vacuum therapy, compression therapy and Faja 101, plus taping and wrap technique. Instruction highlights treatment protocols and safety guidelines so trainees understand when to adapt a session for patient comfort and clinical constraints rather than promising specific outcomes.
Local logistics and next steps
Classes are held in Central Harlem, conveniently accessible from nearby neighborhoods like Washington Heights and the Upper West Side. Many trainees choose early-morning or weekend slots to accommodate commuting schedules; the studio’s proximity to the 125th Street corridor and transit hubs makes it practical for professionals balancing work, childcare or cultural events at the Apollo Theater or Schomburg Center.
After the hands-on day you receive a Certificate of Completion, vendor recommendations, business setup and marketing guidance, and ongoing mentorship. Before attending, plan for travel time, bring a government ID for the background check, comfortable clothing for practical work, and expect to follow studio safety protocols during in-person practice.
