Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about PRE OP LYMPHATIC MASSAGE & CONSULTATION - 3 Sessions.

The three-session package assesses your baseline, reduces inflammation, and enhances lymphatic flow to optimize tissue quality. Sessions focus on decreasing fluid retention, improving circulation, and delivering individualized pre-op guidance to support a smoother operation and recovery.

We recommend beginning sessions two to six weeks before surgery, spacing them for cumulative benefit. Ideally the final session occurs 48–72 hours prior, but timing is coordinated with your surgeon and individualized based on your procedure and health.

Contraindications include untreated infection, active deep vein thrombosis, uncontrolled heart failure, or other acute medical conditions. Patients with recent cancer diagnoses or complex medical histories should obtain physician clearance before treatment.

Each visit includes a focused consultation, physical assessment, and gentle manual lymphatic drainage techniques. Therapists provide compression and mobility guidance, home-care instructions, and coordination notes for your surgical team to support optimal pre-op preparation.

We work collaboratively with your surgeon and follow their guidelines. Treatments are adapted to your surgical plan and clearance, and we can provide summary notes to your surgeon to ensure our pre-op care complements their protocol.

Many clients feel improved mobility and reduced tightness after the first session. Cumulative benefits like decreased swelling and better tissue tone are most apparent after multiple sessions and often translate into easier postoperative recovery.
