Consultation aftercare: your first 48-hour steps after the $99 in-person visit

By Body Sculpt Studios - Post-Op Care, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Body Sculpting, Weight Management & TRAINING ACADEMY | October 14, 2026

I’ve watched a simple thing make the biggest difference after a consult in New York: write down your plan and your next steps before the day gets away from you. In the first 48 hours after your 30-minute, $99 in-person consultation, I want you to confirm the recommended plan in writing, schedule any follow-ups, note any supplements or medications you’re taking, hydrate and rest, and pause intense workouts or new treatments until I’ve cleared them with you.

After Your CONSULTATION IN-PERSON $99, First 48-Hour Steps image

Your #1 rule for consultation aftercare: If it’s not written down, it tends to turn into extra back-and-forth. Save your plan, your timeline, and your contact notes in one place within 24 hours.

The first 24 to 48 hours: lock in your plan so you don’t need extra trips

Most people book a consult because they want a clear direction. The first 48 hours are where that clarity either sticks, or it gets buried under work, commutes, and everything else NYC throws at you.

Do these 6 things right away

  • Confirm your plan in writing. Keep notes on what we discussed, including services, timing, and any prep I asked you to do.
  • Schedule your follow-ups. If you’re commuting from Midtown or the Upper West Side, early-morning and weekend slots are usually the easiest to protect on your calendar.
  • List your meds and supplements. Especially anything that can thin blood or increase bruising. Don’t stop anything on your own. Write it down and ask me what needs to be paused before any procedure.
  • Hydrate and eat normally. A consult isn’t a procedure, but being run-down makes follow-through harder. Water and a solid meal help.
  • Avoid new treatments. Hold off on trying a new body service, aggressive exfoliation, or a brand-new regimen until we’ve confirmed your next steps.
  • Save your contact notes. Keep the clinic number in your phone so you’re not searching later if a question pops up.

If your consult is connected to surgery planning, I also want you to get organized fast: screenshots of your appointment dates, any surgeon instructions you already have, and the names of the procedures you’re considering. That way, when you come back in, we’re not guessing. We’re moving.

Quick Harlem logistics tip: If someone’s dropping you off for a longer follow-up, the Apollo Theater area or the Schomburg Center are easy landmark meet-up points in Central Harlem.

Your first week: keep momentum, skip the “random fixes”

In the first week after your in-person consultation, the goal is simple: follow the plan you committed to. People get into trouble when they start adding extra things because they feel impatient.

I’ve had plenty of people come in feeling anxious, especially after surgery out of state, and what helps most is structure. One of our regulars put it perfectly when they said:

“My surgery was in Miami, so it’s been really great to feel like I have support now that I’m back home in NYC.”

What I want you to keep doing

  • Re-read your notes and confirm you understand the timeline. If anything feels fuzzy, reach out now, not the night before your next appointment.
  • Stay consistent with the basics we discussed, like hydration, gentle movement, and rest.
  • If your plan includes post-op care or lymphatic drainage massage, stick to the schedule we set. Consistency is where people report they “see improvement every session.”

What to avoid until I sign it off

  • Heavy lifting and intense cardio if your plan is leading into a procedure or recovery work. It can throw off swelling and soreness.
  • New body treatments that weren’t part of your plan, especially anything aggressive.
  • Guessing on garments or compression if post-op support is in your future. Ask me, and I’ll point you in the right direction.

Habits that protect your results: hydration, notes, and simple self-care

A consult is short. The follow-through is where results start. I’m big on simple habits you can actually keep, especially if you’re traveling in from Washington Heights, Hamilton Heights, Mott Haven, or the Upper East Side and you don’t have time for complicated routines.

Keep a running note on your phone: dates, plan, questions, and any changes you notice in your body. If you’re doing lymphatic work later, people often tell me they feel “lighter and less swollen” when they stay consistent and communicate changes early.

Stick to gentle basics: water, regular meals, and sleep. If your plan includes diet or activity guidance, follow that. One client specifically appreciated getting post care instructions about diet, exercise, and self-massage, because it helped them keep their results between sessions.

When to reach out to me in the first 48 hours (and when it’s urgent)

If you’re unsure about your plan, you’re not bothering me. That’s part of the care. I’d rather answer one clear question than have you do three things that weren’t meant for your body.

Reach out same-day if: you need your next steps clarified, you’re unsure about a supplement or medication before a future procedure, or you want to confirm timing for post-op services like lymphatic drainage massage.

And if you have urgent medical questions or unexpected symptoms like sudden shortness of breath, significant bleeding, or severe pain, treat that as urgent and get immediate medical help. Then let me know what happened so I can support your plan on my end.

“From the very first session with Diamaris, it has been nothing but professionalism paired with genuine, personal care.”

My gentle reminder: a tight 48-hour checklist is how you avoid unnecessary repeat visits. That matters in Central Harlem, and it matters even more if you’re fitting appointments around a commute from Morningside Heights or the Upper West Side.

FAQs I get every week about the $99 in-person consultation

What should I bring to my CONSULTATION IN-PERSON $99?

Bring a photo ID, your notes about your goals, and any medical or surgical paperwork you already have. If you’re taking medications or supplements, bring a list or screenshots so I can give you clean next steps.

Can I schedule my procedure during the CONSULTATION IN-PERSON $99?

Yes, if you already know what you want and dates you’re considering, I’ll help you map out timing and book the next appropriate appointment. If I need more information first, we’ll set a clear follow-up so nothing drags out.

How soon will I receive written aftercare instructions after my consult?

I want you to have your plan written down within the first 24 hours. If you didn’t leave with everything documented, reach out and I’ll make sure you have your next steps clearly noted.

Can I exercise after my in-person consultation?

Light movement is usually fine, but I generally recommend skipping intense cardio and heavy lifting for 24 to 48 hours while you lock in your plan, especially if you’re preparing for a procedure or starting a new program. If you’re not sure what counts as “too much, ” ask me and I’ll clarify.

Who do I contact at the clinic if I have questions in the first 48 hours?

Call us at +19144279395. If it’s not urgent, email fatloss@bodysculptstudios.com with your question and include your name and appointment date so I can respond faster.
