BODY BLISS FACE & BODY session SAVE $300: Aftercare for the First 48 Hours (weight loss programmes)
By Body Sculpt Studios - Post-Op Care, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Body Sculpting, Weight Management & TRAINING ACADEMY | July 29, 2026
We hear it all the time after a great session: you feel “very much satisfied” and ready to get back to life. For the best results after your 90-minute BODY BLISS Face & Body session in New York, treat the first 48 hours like recovery time. Skip intense heat and heavy sweating, keep skin gently clean and hydrated, wear loose clothing, and don’t exfoliate or pile on heavy products.

Our BODY BLISS FACE & BODY session ($299, 90 minutes) blends a Hydro Facial, waist snatching body sculpting (Laser Lipo & EMS Sculpt), and a body slimming lymphatic massage. That combo can leave you feeling lighter and “snatched, ” but your aftercare is what protects that fresh look. If you’re commuting back through Central Harlem (Harlem) or hopping the subway home, these first 48 hours are about staying cool, staying clean, and letting your body settle.
First 24 hours after BODY BLISS: keep it cool, clean, and low-effort
Day one is when people accidentally cancel out their results. We generally recommend you avoid anything that makes you hot, flushed, or sweaty. That means no sauna, steam room, hot yoga, hot baths, or sitting in direct sun trying to “dry out.” Heat can push redness and puffiness to linger longer than it needs to.
48-hour rule we repeat in the studio: if it makes you sweat, sting, or feel “puffy, ” pause it and give your body more time.
If you’re commuting home in NYC
Yes, you can take the subway or commute home after your BODY BLISS session. We just want you to plan for comfort. Keep a light layer you can remove easily if platforms are warm, and try not to press treated areas against tight waistbands or compressive shapewear right away. Loose clothing helps a lot, especially if you’re coming from Midtown or the Upper West Side and cutting through Central Harlem (Harlem) during busy times.
What to do right away
- Drink water consistently. Your lymphatic work and body contouring sessions tend to do better when you’re hydrated.
- Keep your face and body products simple. Think gentle cleanser and a basic moisturizer. No acids, no scrubs, no body brushes.
- If you notice mild redness or tenderness, give it time. Avoid rubbing the area “to check” if it’s gone.
Hours 24 to 48: when to shower, when to workout, and what still waits
In the second day, most people feel tempted to jump right back into the gym or do a long, hot everything shower. This is where timing matters. We generally recommend holding off on vigorous exercise until you’re past 48 hours. Light walking is fine for most people, and it’s often a good idea if you’ve been sitting a lot. Save the heavy lifting, HIIT, and anything that leaves you drenched for later.
Showering is usually okay after your session. Keep it lukewarm. Use a gentle cleanser, rinse well, and pat dry. Don’t scrub or use exfoliating gloves on treated areas. And skip soaking baths in the first 48 hours, especially if the water is hot.
If you had a Hydro Facial as part of your BODY BLISS, keep makeup off for the rest of the day when you can. If you need makeup the next day, keep it light and avoid heavy, occlusive products that can feel like a mask. Let us know what you have planned. We’ll tell you how to time it, especially if you’re a performer heading toward the Apollo area and need predictable results.
The first week: keep the “snatched” look without irritating your skin
After 48 hours, most people can ease back into normal life, but the first week is where we see the difference between “it felt good” and “I’m seeing improvement.” Our team is big on simple consistency. People tell us they feel better after every session when they do their part, especially with hydration, sleep, and keeping inflammation down.
Sun, sweat, and summer subway heat
If you’re visiting New York in summer, the subway alone can turn into a sauna. Try to avoid long stretches of sweating in the first few days. Sweat plus friction can irritate skin, and irritation can make you feel puffy. If you do sweat, rinse or gently cleanse as soon as you can, then moisturize lightly.
If you’re focused on weight management
Some people book BODY BLISS as a reset while they’re in a weight management program or working through weight management goals. The session supports your routine, but it doesn’t replace it. Keep meals steady, keep water up, and don’t “punish” yourself with an extreme workout the next day. Consistent habits usually get better results than big swings.
Simple products and habits we actually like after Hydro Facial + sculpting
Keep your routine boring for a couple days. Boring is good. For face after a Hydro Facial, stick to a gentle cleanser and a plain moisturizer. If you use actives like acids or retinoids, wait until your skin feels fully calm again. For body, go with a basic, fragrance-light moisturizer and avoid firming creams that tingle or heat up.
- Lukewarm water beats hot water for the first 48 hours.
- Pat dry instead of rubbing, especially on the waist and any area that feels tender.
- Loose clothing prevents friction and helps you stay comfortable on commutes from Washington Heights, Morningside Heights, and the Upper West Side.
If you’re not sure what to use, ask us. Our therapists give practical recommendations that fit your routine, and we’ll keep it realistic for New York schedules.
When to call Body Sculpt Studios, and how we support you between sessions
We take aftercare seriously because it’s what keeps you feeling confident after you leave our Central Harlem (Harlem) studio. People come to us for support when they’re back home in NYC after procedures elsewhere, and they tell us the difference is feeling comfortable, well looked after, and clear on what to do next.
“So grateful to have found Body Sculpt Studios, and specifically Diamaris. She has gone above and beyond in making me comfortable and well looked after.”

What’s normal vs. what needs a check-in
Mild tenderness, a little redness, and feeling “worked” can be normal right after a session that includes lymphatic work and body contouring. But don’t push through anything that feels off.
Call us if you notice: unusual pain that keeps getting worse, swelling that doesn’t settle, redness that lasts longer than expected, warmth, drainage, fever, or anything that makes you worry about infection.
If you’re planning your next visit, morning or weekend slots can make life easier so you’re not battling rush-hour travel across Harlem and nearby neighborhoods. And if you want a quick refresher before your appointment, read what to expect from your first BODY BLISS Face & Body session.
